Jim Reeves first appeared on the Dick Clark American Bandstand on April 7, 1958. It is not documented which song he performed, but his then current release was "Anna marie". In that week it had been in the charts for 18 weeks , and dropped from the No. 5 to the No. 13 position  in  the "Most played by C&W Jockeys" Billboard chart. All of the songs Jim performed at the other 3 Dick Clark shows were in a high position in the C&W charts at the time.

On August 30, 1958 he appeared on the Saturday Night Beech-Nut show, he sang "Blue boy"

On February 6, 1960 he appeared on the Saturday Night Beech-Nut show, he sang "He'll have to go"

On August 13, 1960 he appeared on the Saturday Night Beech-Nut show, he sang "I'm getting better"
