We remember the 42nd anniversary of Jim's death with a poem,
written by Ms. Myrtle Mattis, an ardent fan from New York, USA,
who wrote that Jim's songs had touched her soul.

A beautiful voice is stilled,
The illustrious eternal Jim,
No rain to wet him,
No sun to burn him,
Where there is no stormy weather,
Still he lives forever,
Years may have passed,
Still his memories last.

Gentle and tender,
A man was he,
With a voice so sweet,
And deep as the sea,
His songs are as thrilling,
And pleasant as he,
A beautiful face,
A loving heart, with beautiful thoughts,
Yet from this world,
He had to depart,
To live in God's Glory,

The essential, loving, beautiful
Gentleman Jim Reeves
